Welcome to the study of financial accounting. I am Richard Kajumbula and will work with you as your facilitator through to completion. You may probably not have undertaken an online course before and it may seem difficult. However, I will be available to assist you.
This is an introductory course in financial accounting. The course is designed to provide participants with the ability to record, explain and monitor money/finances. By the end of the course, participants will be able to put into practice the basic concepts of financial accounting and posting of accounting transactions from primary books to ledgers. You will also develop skills in preparation and presentation of financial statements, bank reconciliation statements and budgetary control.
I look forward, to having you on board as we explore the world of accounting for finances in both profit and not-for-profit organisations, both big and small.
